Pageant Weekend

The pageant is a 3-day extravaganza which will be held November 5-7, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The city is thrilled to be the pageants new home and is planning to roll out the red carpet on behalf of the contestants. While there will be a great deal of hard work involved, we promise that the experience will be exciting and fun as well.

FRIDAY
Contestants will check-in and have the opportunity to meet the pageant staff as well as their fellow contestants. The contestants will then be transported to the Bama Theater for rehearsals with our choreographer. That evening the Tuscaloosa Convention and Visitors bureau will host a Welcome Dinner for contestants at the Historic Jemison Van de Graff Mansion. After the reception contestants will return to the theater for additional rehearsals and will ultimately return to the hotel for check in.

SATURDAY
Rehearsal, rehearsal, rehearsal! With the combined talents of our staff this year’s production will be exciting, and most importantly glamorous! The contestants will have the opportunity to work with New York based choreographer, Christopher Dean, who promises to be tough, but a ton of fun! The evening will conclude with preliminary competition in which each contestant will compete in the swimsuit and evening gown competitions.

SUNDAY
Sunday begins with the personal interview competition. Each contestant will have the opportunity to sit down individually with each member of our celebrity judge’s panel to convince them that she is right for the job of Miss Alabama USA or Miss Alabama Teen USA. Following interviews contestants will be transported back to the theater for final rehearsals. Miss Alabama Teen USA finals will be held in the afternoon and Miss Alabama USA finals will be held in the evening. By the end of the day will have a new Miss Alabama USA and Miss Alabama Teen USA!

The winner of Miss Alabama USA will advance to the nationally televised MISS USA PAGEANT and the Miss Alabama USA will advance to the MISS TEEN USA PAGEANT. Should Miss Alabama USA be crowned MISS USA she will advance to the ultimate competition….the internationally televised MISS UNIVERSE Pageant.
